Here’s a fun idea — let’s pit a bunch of comedians against each other on a softball field. Because if there’s one thing comedians are known for, it’s their athletic prowess. Now let’s place bets on the number of wacky knee socks that take the field at the DFW Comics Charity Softball Event benefitting YMCA and Salvation Army. This isn’t any old charity softball game, however, it’s one filled with sound effects, humor and free hot dogs and drinks. In addition to the general hi-jinks, comedians Paul Varghese, Keith Manning, Chris Lehman and more will also be performing during the 7th Inning Set. And if you’re a fan of drum rolls, bring your elation because there will be a drum roll with every pitch. The free event starts at 1 p.m. Sunday at Glencoe Park, Field 2, 5300 Martel Ave. For more information, contact Keith Manning at 713-256-9236 or Backdoor Comedy Club at 214-328-4444
