Last week we welcomed National Geographic Explorer’s Boyd Matson to the Dallas Arboretum. This week, the Nat Geo hits keep on coming at the AT&T Performing Arts Center (2403 Flora St.) with Tim Laman and Ed Scholes. Laman, a wildlife photographer, and Scholes, an ornithologist at Cornell University, will tell stories of their time in the rainforests of New Guinea, where they spotted and interacted with birds both known and obscure. Hopefully we’ll hear some stories about the indigenous bowerbird — the male is known to spend days weaving branches, leaves and other ephemera into beautiful abodes, all in hopes of attracting a female. Human males, take note. The talk starts at 8 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $25. Call 214-880-0202 or visit attpac.org.
