Come the holidays, there’s always talk of the ultimate dichotomy. No, not yin and yang—that’s too black and white. The red and green polarity we’re digging on is classic naughty and nice. Allegedly, the whole idea is one should be nice to get great and amazing rewards during the holidays. That’s a fantastic idea…but what if you’re extra nice at being naughty? Take, for instance, the performers of the Nearly Naked Nutcracker presented by Broads & Panties, 8 p.m. Saturday at Trees, 2709 Elm St. While the show could be considered a rewarding experience for an audience who’s been on their best behavior (yeah, right), we can’t handle thinking the “ballet-inspired burlesque” performers would receive lumps of coal for their scantily clad choreography—no matter how much it falls into the “Naughty” category. The show features Los Angles’ beloved not-so-Stepford wife, Red Snapper, and her Mr. Snapper, as well as Skye Starling (known for her amazing aerial silks performances), and a slew of others who deserve to be on the “Nice” list, just as much as the “Nicely tasseled” one. Tickets are $20-$25, so it’s also a great gift opportunity for the good-bads in your life. Visit treesdallas.com for tickets.
