NHS Tavern's Cleaver and Block Burger has an unfair advantage over every other burger I've eaten in Dallas: It was the first I ate after moving here.

As I tried to adapt and withered under previously unknown heat, this burger comforted me. Maybe it was the fresh and generously applied toppings, or maybe it was that stunner of a bun. It could have been the seven Pabst Blue Ribbons I drank, too, but it doesn't matter -- the memory of that burger stays with me and likely always will.
