Angels and Airwaves at Palladium Ballroom
Tom Delong's Angels and Airwaves kept the Palladium crowd's spirits lifted Friday night with upbeat tunes, playful banter and some seriously entertaining dancing (review). Writer Dustin Aguilar even got his crush on, that night, too, when openers Meg & Dia hit the stage.
Flogging Molly at House of Blues
After last night's Flogging Molly show, there may not be much of the flag left to raise. The band brought its normal high-energy show. The crowd sang, danced and downed plenty o' pints. We're wagering that several may be having rough Monday mornings, but it was definitely worth it.
Bruce Bruce at Addison Improv
You might know him from Hair Show, Idlewild and Who's Your Caddy (Oh, who are we kidding? No one saw that one.) Despite his latest flick, Bruce Bruce brought his standup A-game to the Addison Improv all weekend long. Friday night's show had us rolling.
R.I.P. DJ Frantic
We were shocked to hear that talented Dallas turntablist DJ Frantic (Clever Monkeys) died this weekend in a car accident. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife, family, friends and fans. -- Chelsea Ide
