Giveaway (and a Bonus MP3): Two Pairs of Tickets To See Dylan Sneed Tomorrow Night at The Kessler

Back in 2008, after years of hitting nearly every coffee house in DFW, Dylan Sneed decided to leave the area and venture out on a journey across America. That journey finally led him to South Carolina, where he recorded his new full-length, Texodus, with a hoard of friends and co- conspirators. In an upcoming issue of the print edition of the Observer, you'll be able read my review of  Sneed's new full-length, Texodus.

I'll tell you this much for now, though: Sneed's growth as a songwriter and arranger is obvious. But don't take my word for it. Sneed has graciously allowed DC9 to post an MP3 of the title track for all those who'd like to marvel in the guy's obvious talent as a tunesmith. Check that out after the jump.

If you like what you hear, you can catch Sneed on a powerhouse bill where he'll be joined by two DOMAXXII-nominated acts, The Beaten Sea and Lalagray, at The Kessler Theater on Saturday night. Should be a fun night of folksy Americana done ragged, but right.

And, if you're quick on the draw, you can even see the show for free. The folks at the Kessler have been kind enough to pass along two pairs of tickets to Saturday's affair for us to hand out to a couple of lucky DC9 readers. Want one of the pairs? Shoot Pete an email with the words "Folkin' Around" in the subject line. The first two people to do so will win the passes. Good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners!

Really, the results speak for themselves. Or, at least, I think so.
