You may have noticed the item about the April 9-11 MusInk Tattoo and Music Convention in Fair Park in the November 18 Show Announcements post. At the time, all we knew was that Old 97's, Shooter Jennings and Roger Alan Wade would be performing--certainly enough to pique our interest. After all, Americana and alt-country aren't the first music genres that come to mind when thinking of tattoos. But that must be a Dallas thing--the Orange County version of MusInk in February features a punk-rock lineup including The Cult, The Damned, Face To Face and NOFX.

In the weeks since that post, Lucero, Jim Rose and host Oliver Peck (whose Elm Street Tattoo earned a Guinness World Record and a Best of Dallas Award in 2008) have been announced. And today, Spune's Lance Yocom sends word that Telegraph Canyon, whose "Shake Your Fist" topped Pete's 2009 Best Songs In Dallas list, will support the Old 97's at the fest's opening night Friday, April 9.

Tickets are on sale now at $25 a day, $60 for a three-day pass or $75 for the VIP package. Hopefully that includes the guarantee that any ink you get at the festival will not end up on this site.
