Out of the Loop Theater Festival Kicks Off This 10-day event is jam-packed with great entertainment, from Charles Ross' 70-minute, one-man performance of the ENTIRE Lord of The Rings Trilogy to miming classes (silent cheer!). Get your ticket here.
Love From A Stranger This play is based on Agatha Christie's short story "Philomel Cottage." It's loaded up with all of that pulpy noir goodness: typewriters, dubious gardeners and secrets -- lots of secrets.

North Texas Irish Festival Trace your surname's lineage, eat lots of yummy peasant food and gulp down pint after pint of beer, glorious beer! It's the 30th birthday of this high-kicking fest, and if you get in the entrance line before 7 p.m. on Friday you get in completely free. It goes on all weekend long, so break out that reserve liver you keep up high on the shelf.
Opening of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge Hey guys, the city built a bridge! (Sorry to break the news like this.) Starting on Friday and running through Sunday there are tons of events celebrating the new stretch of architecture. On the east side you'll find Lyle Lovett, duct-tape art, and Calatrava-inspired costumes. To the west you're served giant puppets, a lowrider car show and the greatest gospel soul funk band you've ever seen, The Relatives (puppets and band are on Saturday).

Banana Bar Crawl Always a cornerstone of slapstick comedy, the banana is the perfect fruit. Uptown is going to be slippin' and trippin' on Saturday night when hundreds of thirsty bananas unionize and take to the bars, likely searching for the right person to peel them. Another plus, bananas improve night vision, so you'll easily locate your peers at St. John's Tavern at 8 p.m.
Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood If you love improvisation and sketch comedy, you probably know Colin and Brad from Who's Line is it Anyway? They have the greatest job in the universe because they don't have to prepare; the audience decides what the duo will act out. Buy a ticket, then shout something awkward on Saturday at the AT&T Performing Arts Center and make the boys blush.
Henry Rollins He's a father figure of the punk movement, an author and now ... photography? Of course he is -- what's next, astronaut? Catch Rollins' UNT lecture and ask him yourself on Saturday. Tickets cost $10 to $20.
Sunday 3.4 Texas in the '20s at the Dallas Museum of Art If you love Prohibition-era art, you'll want to get over to the DMA. A divine celebration of all things deco, this exhibition opens on Sunday. Be the first to take it in.
Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music While probably not the event of choice for the younger, clubbier contingent, Sesame Street Live is a right of passage for children. Add on the Elmo influence and bam! Parent of the year. Get a ticket here. Wednesday 3.7
Open House at Smoke and Mirrors Gallery Our favorite local outsider art gallery is cleaning house and throwing a party, too! Get great art by local subterranean painters and sculptors at huge markdowns while boozing it up and getting down. The event is free and it runs from 7 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
