Word came down today, from the folks at non-profit Art Conspiracy, that the organization is seeking submissions for a 2011 beneficiary. To be more specific, that beneficiary should be a 501c3 organization dedicated to arts and music programming ready to reap the benefits, both monetarily (the events have raised more that $110,000 overall, $30,000 of which was raised at last year's October 23 event) and in terms of exposure (turnout has reached more than 2,000 in past years), from the increasingly successful annual Art Conspiracy event later this fall. (Though, to be fair, we could easily determine the event's increase in success simply by the parallel increase in number of art pieces we've found ourselves bidding on -- or wanting to bid on -- year after year since 2005.)

Past beneficiaries include St. Anthony Community Center, La Reunion TX, Preservation LINK, Resolana and Today Marks the Beginning's MasterPEACE program. Applications for this year's group must be received by the end of June 6.

Art Conspiracy Call for Beneficiaries Press Release
For Immediate Release: Monday, May 9, 2011

Art Conspiracy is on the lookout for a new beneficiary. Each year Art Conspiracy selects a 501c3 organization that's focused on providing art and/or music programming for an audience in need and now Art Con needs to find an organization to support during its 2011 fundraising endeavors.

The mission of Art Conspiracy is to inspire Dallas' art and music scenes to join forces for the benefit of a local nonprofit art or music organization. Non-profits with an annual budget of less than $400,000 and that offer creative programming in the form of art or music that gives back to youth, families, and citizens within the Dallas city limits are eligible to apply.

Since 2005, Art Conspiracy has raised over $110,000 for groups including: • Today Marks the Beginning's MasterPEACE program which uses art to impact awareness of social issues and teach children about non-violence. • Resolana, a community-based nonprofit organization that provides holistic, gender-sensitive, rehabilitative programming for incarcerated women. • Preservation LINK, an organization that teaches audio and visual media to students in South Dallas and Fair Park. • La Reunion TX, an arts residency in the making on a 35 acre urban forest engaged as outdoor studio space and gallery. • St. Anthony Community Center, a center that offers visual art, music and dance to more than 800 children in South Dallas.

Art Conspiracy provides innovative and accessible opportunities for community members to contribute to unique events and make a tangible difference to our chosen nonprofit art and music beneficiaries.

For more information, review application guidelines. They are accessible via Art Conspiracy's website - http://artconspiracy.org/ac3.html. Application must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Monday, June 6, 2011.
