Back in June 2007, a Dallas man named Bruce Kahn agreed to buy perhaps the most famous brothel in the world -- the Chicken Ranch, 'bout 60 miles outside of Las Vegas -- for a reported $15.2 million. But Nye County, Nevada, officials denied his application -- said he didn't live in Nevada and wasn't "financially suitable" to own the joint, so sorry. To which Kahn responded in March of this year with a federal lawsuit in which he and his attorneys argue that the residency requirement violates the due process clause of the U.S. Constitution.

Three months later, the current owner of the Chicken Ranch has filed his own federal lawsuit, in which he alleges that the real reason Nye County officials won't allow the sale to Kahn is because they're trying to "rid the County of it's [sic] legal brothels by attrition." One thing the owner wants from the suit is the right to sell the brothel to Kahn. All together now.
