Speaking of Fair Park ...

The very week we -- and only we, for whatever reason -- commemorate the June 6, 1936, opening of the Texas Centennial Exposition at Fair Park, more photos from The Baltimore Sun's archives have appeared on eBay. You may recall only a few weeks ago I stumbled across a handful of treasures from the paper's archives, which are being sold by the Tribune Photo Archives. To that estimable stack add three more -- and one very nice shot from the Centennial Frontier Show in Fort Worth in August 1936.

Here you'll find Tenor and Contralto -- the originals, not the remakes put into position in December 2009. Here's yet another aerial shot of Fair Park snapped right before gates opened. And this one's extremely intriguing: a photo of the model of the Ford Building, better known today as Grand Place. Greg, you got these, right? Good.
