Fair Park once again opened its gates for Earth Day Texas. One of the biggest attractions this year was the neighborhood of tiny houses nestled in front of the Hall of State. Thousands lined up to tour the tiny homes, hosted by their normal-sized inhabitants.
B.A. Norrgard, who has organized the exhibit for the past three years, showed off her 78-square-foot trailer home which she lives in and travels around the country displaying.
A paralegal in Dallas for 22 years, Norrgard chose to downsize her house, along with her possessions and footprint, and join the tiny house community in lieu of traditional retirement.
Norrgard now runs a Dallas tiny house meetup group which encourages and supports those looking to build their own tiny houses and simplify their lives.
