Nilton "Junior" Borges, who's been running the kitchen at Design District hot spot FT33 since January, is headed to The Joule, according to a statement from FT33's PR team:

We’ve truly enjoyed having Chef Junior Borges as part of our team at FT33 for the past couple of months and have successfully been evolving our tasting menu and other dishes as a result of the collaboration. We are always striving to think differently and present our guests with a unique, progressive experience, and will continue to do so moving forward. Junior has been a friend of the entire FT33 team since his arrival in Dallas, and we wish him nothing but the best in his new position.

This weekend is Borges' last weekend as executive chef at FT33, which he joined only a few months ago after leaving his position as chef de cuisine at Uchi. Borges told D Magazine that he'd been approached by The Joule before accepting the position at FT33 and that his tenure there was always intended to be temporary. Matt McCallister will be stepping back into the role of executive chef at FT33, according to D Magazine.
