Land of a Thousand Hills is a coffee chain based in Georgia that works directly with farmers in Rwanda to provide living wages. Their outpost in Deep Ellum is located inside the Novel residence building and not only provides a comfortable space to relax or work, but also does good for local artists. If you stop by, try the cinna-honey latte, a signature beverage, which, as its name suggests, is a traditional latte beverage with touches of cinnamon and honey ($5.50); try this one with oat milk. Another good choice is the dirty chai latte, a wiry combination of black tea infused with cinnamon, clove and other warming spices combined with a double shot of espresso and steamed milk. Sweeter options include LTH’s line-up of “chills,” frappucino-esque beverages like matcha and vanilla chai. Signature blended beverages include the Bombo Chill, made with chocolate, caramel and espresso. Equally as good is the Rwandan Chill with vanilla, caramel and espresso.
