Paparazzi Pizza

Paparazzi Pizza’s location is anything but glitzy, cozied up to a dry cleaner shop in a Carrollton strip mall, but the menu is more adventurous than you’d expect from a neighborhood pizzeria. Of course, it has all the usual suspects like pepperoni-topped pies, calzones and sub sandwiches, but the real standouts here are the Mediterranean pizzas. The Tomato Tango pie forgoes the typical red sauce in favor of garlicky olive oil and tops it off with mozzarella and Gorgonzola cheeses, oregano-spiced tomatoes, nutty sesame seeds and toasty pignolis, while an eggplant version places thick roasted slices of the purple-skinned beauty on an olive-oil drizzled black pepper crust. Control freaks can build their own with ingredients ranging from house-made Italian sausage and black olives to capers and gyro meat. Dolmas, house-made hummus, Greek salads and pita-wrapped sandwiches round out a menu that just might have you playing paparazzi (and by that, we mean Instagramming your pizza).
