This is the second iteration of Sassetta, originally located in the Design District, which closed after the pandemic set it.

Now at the base of The Joule hotel in downtown Dallas — adjacent to the Midnight Rambler bar and across from the eyeball art installation across the street — Sassetta has a new home.

The design of Sassetta has been reimagined, taking inspiration from the Italian region of Tuscany. Envisioned by ELLE Decor A-List designer Jean Liu, Sassetta's reopening press release boasts a relaxed, yet highly-refined setting for patrons at the restaurant.

Chef Jason Zygmont has been tapped to create the new menu featuring handcrafted pasta, house-cured meats, seafood and thin-crust pizzas. Also featured on the menu will be creative interpretations of modern and regional Italian cuisine and even some homages to Americano. A robust collection of wines will complement the menu, along with Amari and simple, straightforward Italian cocktails.

Zygmont joined the Sassetta team in December and is hailed for his award-winning agnolotti dish. Zygmont moved from Nashville to Dalla and previously worked as a sous chef at Per Se in New York City, and as chef de partie at Noma, a restaurant in Denmark that has received three Michelin stars.
