Dallas, TX – November 21, 2008: The 2008 Billboard Touring Awards took place last night at the Roosevelt Hotel Ballroom in New York City. House of Blues Dallas came away with the honors in the Top Club category. Other nominees in the category included House of Blues Chicago and The Fillmore in San Francisco.

The venue, which opened its doors in May of 2007, has been tirelessly serving up live music for 18 months with over 400 shows to its credit. Some of the highlights of the 2008 show roster include Bob Dylan, Marilyn Manson, Erykah Badu, Fergie, Buddy Guy, Cobra Starship, Raconteurs, O.A.R., Natasha Bedingfield, Peter Frampton, Usher and a diverse list of other great artists.

House of Blues Talent Buyer, Anthony Nicolaidis said, “It is great to bring a Billboard Award home for the Dallas venue. Our entire team has worked really hard this year. Dallas, Texas continues to be one of the top live music markets in the country.”

Los Angeles based Live Nation, House of Blues’ parent company, was also a winner last night, claiming the Top Promoter award for the third consecutive year.

And, in case you were wondering, no, today isn't April Fool's.
