Download: A Few Choice Wooden Birds Live Tracks From Boston

If you regrettably missed last Wednesday's homecoming performance of sorts from Fort Worth native Andrew Kenny, formerly of American Analog Set, as he stopped through town at the House of Blues for a show with his new, Barsuk-signed act, The Wooden Birds, you'd probably be pleased to check out this link.

In anticipation of The Wooden Birds' show in Boston tonight, the Boston-based Bradley's Almanac blog has posted a few live cuts from the band's April performance at the Boston club TT the Bear's--or, essentially, hard proof that the band's intricately lush indie pop translates quite well in a live setting. I highly recommend checking out the song "Hailey," at the very least.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
