Waco rapper/producer Symbolyc One of Strange Fruit Project is one of Texas's most under-appreciated hip-hop talents, flying largely under the radar despite working with Erykah Badu, Little Brother and others. Seems he's kinda embracing his place in life right now, though: Yesterday, S1 released a new mixtape, fittingly called Still Underrated, Vol. 1, and it features a some impressive remixes on familiar tracks (Beyonce's "Single Ladies," for instance, gets more of a breakbeat feel) and new tracks from artist he's currently working with.
Overall, though, it's just a nice listen, featuring the rhyme skillz of a long list of talents: Little Brother, Rah Digga, Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, Charlie 2na, Young Buck and Busta Rhymes among them. Download it for free over at Rappers I Know.
