Gig Alert: John Pedigo, Michael Cox, Lyndah Gardner and Tim O'Brien Join In On Some Local Yokel Show Fun Tonight

I swear, one of these weeks, I'm gonna be able to make it out to The Libertine for its weekly Monday night event, The Local Yokel Show, where it's all local music, all the time on the bar's PA.

And, actually, tonight seems as good a time as any for me--or, y'know, you--to finally get around to checking it out. Why? Well that's 'cause tonight, the bar, which recently added intimate, acoustic live performances to its Local Yokel show lineup, will be playing host to a lineup owner Simon McDonald calls "The Dallas Outlaws" and includes John Pedigo (The O's, Boys Named Sue), Michael Cox (Speedtrucker), Lyndah Gardner (Kristy Kruger, Speedtrucker), Tim O'Brien (The Dogkickers), and some possible surprise guests.

It all kicks off at around 11 p.m. or so, and like all Local Yokel events, it's free to attend.

Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
