Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.
Subdued singer-songwriter William Fitzsimmons may be Grey's Anatomy-approved (take that however you wish), but he's also phenomenally bearded. Denton-worthy stuff, for sure. So maybe its weird then that Denton's the only point of our little Metroplex triangle being ignored by Fitzsimmons on his stop through the region this evening; according to his Myspace page, not only will Fitzsimmons be stopping by Lola's Sixth in Fort Worth for a performance this evening alongside Jenny Owen Youngs, but he'll be stopping by Good Records for an in-store performance a 6 p.m. tonight, too. And while that in-store show is free to attend, per Good Records' standard show policy, the Lola's one isn't.
Well, not necessarily. See, it could be--if you happen to email me right now with the phrase "Keep Denton Beard" in the subject line. Do that and you and a friend are seeing Fitzsimmons perform at Lola's tonight for free, courtesy Spune Productions.
Good luck!
Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winner!
Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
