Yesterday, we launched the first of our four-day ticket giveaway extravaganza to this year's Dia de Los Toadies festival at Rough Creek Ranch in Glen Rose on Saturday. But, silly us, we forgot to post the above video, edited by the Toadies' own Emmy-nominated film editor (for his work on Project Runway), guitarist Clark Voegler, which promotes this year's fest.
And, back on the subject of this year's fest: Thanks to the folks at Kirtland Records, we'll be offering up a pair of tickets to the day-long Saturday show every day this week.
Want today's pair? OK, email me right now with "So help me, Jesus" in the subject line. First person to do so gets today's pair. Good luck!
Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winner, who's been notified by email.
And, remember, if you miss out, check back tomorrow and Friday for more chances. And follow us on Twitter for not-so-vagues hints on when to expect the giveaways.
Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
