The Ex-Mr. Kate Hudson and company are rolling through town on Friday night with a gig at the Palladium on the heels of the band's recently released (and fairly well-received) Warpaint disc. Writes Observer contributor Bob Ruggiero in this week's paper:
Vocalist Chris Robinson's lyrics remain their usual combination of poetically obtuse and hippily hopeful, but Warpaint might finally be the disc that silences critics who insist on throwing out those lazy Stones/Faces/Band comparisons the Crowes have long since outgrown.
See for yourself if the growth is for real by emailing me with "Hard To Handle" in the subject line and winning the pair of tickets AEG Live has offered up for this show. Best of luck.
