Memo to The Raven Charter: If you wanna make a dark, sci-fi-tastic music video, the above clip for The Sword's "Maiden, Mother & Crone" is a good place to start your research. Sure, the task is far easier when you're one of the new saviors of an entire genre like this Austin-based outfit.
Tomorrow night, The Sword stops on by Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios in Denton with fellow Austin-based rock outfit Woodgrain in tow for what should be a ridiculously display of badassery as the band wraps up a short tour of Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. C'mon now: Loud metal in a small, concrete room? Yes, please.
Which is why we're quite thankful then that our friends at DHS Entertainment, who booked this show to RGRS, for passing along two pairs of tickets for us to hand out to tomorrow night's show. Want one of the pairs? Shoot me an email right now with the words "Gods of the Earth" in the subject line. First two people to do so get into this here show free of charge. Good luck!
Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners!
