Langhorne Slim

The first time I saw Langhorne Slim in concert, I'd only heard one song: "Restless" off his 2006 EP, Engine. My instincts did not fail me, and neither did his stage presence or the sheer force with which he performed his folky repertoire. Every song was delivered with passion, as the reverent East Coast songwriter revved up a set list cut with an irreverent rock and roll edge. Still no new material since 2009's Be Set Free, but lovers of folk, country, rock and punk need to be in attendance. Rayland Baxter opens.
