More Legend Than Blog Post: The Flatlanders Announce New Disc, Upcoming Dallas Gig

Some great news we're contractually obligated to pass along because of our blog's name: The Flatlanders, the band that wrote the song "Dallas" (which included the line that would, many years later, inspire the name of this here blog) have a new disc, Hills and Valleys, on the way (due March 31), and Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely and Butch Hancock will be coming to town as well, with a show on Friday, June 5, at the best venue in America. It's the second-to-last date on the band's two-and-a-half month tour that starts in April.

Should be a beautiful sight. --Pete Freedman
