Music Scene Live, A Fort Worth Radio Show, Brings the Artists to You

Music Scene Live is a relatively new venture that takes a live performance and interview from a local artist and broadcasts it to the airwaves. Recorded at Fort Worth's Thirsty Armadillo every Saturday afternoon at 1:30p.m., and set to air on KFYN 1420AM every Thursday at 3pm, the show's already got an archive, so it's not brand new, but it is a cool thing to do on a Saturday afternoon, possibly when it's raining. Or if you're just itching to get off the Internet and find some new music.

It's hosted by Fort Worth singer-songwriters Allison & Stone, and past shows have featured locals Emmeline, Kevin Higgins and Kolton Moore. This Saturday features The Monumental Band and jazz singer Karyna Micaela. It's free and open to the public. You might just discover you favorite new act.

Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
