No Big Deal, But Branford Marsalis Is Teaching Some Students Over At Booker T. Washington Right Now.

Must be nice to be a Booker T. Washington High School student. Especially today, as the kids over at the arts magnet on Routh Street, are getting quite the treat: a live performance and a lesson from Branford Marsalis.

The 48-year-old Marsalis, who along with his brothers, is about as legendary as they come in contemporary jazz music, is in town to perform this weekend alongside the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

No word yet on if he'll be performing any of his Buckshot LeFonque jazz fusion.
