Looks like Lower Greenville is about to get a new live music venue--at least on Monday nights. The Libertine has just announced plans to host free concerts from local acts every Monday night. The night will be called "The Hang Up." Huh. Wonder where they got that idea...

Anyway, the new weekly series launches next Monday night, on November 8, when the bar hosts local band Hormones to its new, soon-to-be-installed stage by the bar entrance. Bands interested in performing are encouraged to email Libertine bartender and Hang Up host Chad Davenport for more information.

So what does this mean for The Local Hang? Well, we too will be getting into the regular live music act, too, adding a local performer to our already all-local DJ night, starting next month.

In the meantime, hit the jump to see what got played at last night's deal. Thanks to everyone who came out!
