The folks up at

WeDentonDoIt

just keep on killing things with their steady stream of impressive video offerings,

this time doing so with a clip of one of DC9 HQ's favorite new area bands

,

Sundress

, performing a new song out in the woods. Called "Bloom" the song takes the band in a slightly less meandering direction than indicated on the band's debut EP,

Fever

,

which was released back in the spring

.

Clocking in at just over two minutes, the song is about half the length of Fever's shortest take and finds the band quickly settling into its intoxicating groove. The sound quality leaves a little to be desired, but you get the idea. Catch the band performing with Ringo Deathstarr on Friday night at Dan's Silverleaf.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
