The

lineup for the 2010 Vans Warped Tour

was announced a little while back, and, silly us, we forgot to tell you that four bands with area ties are on the bill that'll visit the Superpages.com Center on Saturday, July 3:

The Rocket Summer

,

Artist Vs. Poet

(who released its full-length debut,

Favorite Fix

, on Fearless Records earlier this week),

Disco Curtis

and the Austin-based Denton ex-pats in

The Riverboat Gamblers

.

It's that last group that brings us to today's posting, though: Yesterday, via the Warped Tour site, the band debuted the above video, the third single off its Underneath the Owl album. It's a pretty sweet clip, too, all animated and whatnot. Check it out. And, if you like this slower-paced fare from the band, well, you can get this song for free for a limited time, too--just by giving the Warped Tour people your email address in return, if you dare.

Again, I'll say this about the song: No band does backing screams of "Hey!" "Woah!" and "Oh!" better than the Gamblers. Just a fact.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
