Last time Erykah Badu stopped by Good Records for a public appearance, the cops showed. If that's the case on Saturday afternoon, when Badu offers local fans a chance to get a signed copy of her new album, New Amerykah, Pt. 2: Return of the Ankh, the end result might not be as pretty. Sure seems unlikely at this point, but there are still outlets reporting that Badu could be charged with indecent exposure by the Dallas Police Department because of the nude-in-public bit that's made her new "Window Seat" music video all the rage/outrage.
Anyway, here's hoping that such a ridiculous outcome doesn't come to fruition at Badu's hometown signing on Saturday, which, according to Badu's label reps at Universal, is scheduled for a 3:33 p.m. start. And, in keeping with the 333 theme of all of Badu's preparations for this release so far, Badu plans on signing only 333 copies of the disc--which the Good folks are trying to ensure, by offering the first 333 people to buy Badu's disc at the store a wristband that will ensure their disc gets signed if they show on Saturday.
