Do you have legs? And do you know how to use 'em? Because if the answer is "yes" to at least one of those questions, do we have just the event for you. See, we just got a press release announcing that on July 25, Stacy Keibler -- who was, apparently, on Dancing With The Stars or something? -- is now a judge for something called the Venus Breeze Legs of a Goddess contest. And a week from Wednesday, says the release, she'll be at the American Airlines Center "to conduct a search for the woman with the best legs in Dallas, and later, America."

So, what d'ya get if you possess the top matchsticks in town? "The winner in Dallas will advance to the final round where she will compete against other finalists for the national title and a "Goddess Getaway" for two worth approximately $15,000. Registration starts at noon. Dunno about my legs, but you should see my hands. Best o' luck to ya. --Robert Wilonsky

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
