At the Wyly Theatre, They're Raising High the Roof Beam, Carpenters

Not going to lie, not on Christmas Eve: This isn't exactly the most riveting video ever made, even if does feature Mayor Tom Leppert. Still, for those tracking the progress of the Dallas Performing Arts Center -- specifically, in this case, the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre -- it's an intriguing peek at downtown's changing landscape, as a construction crew begins to put a lid on the new home of the Dallas Theater Center, Dallas Black Dance Theatre and others. And it suggests a doc about the building of the DPCA is forthcoming, sooner or later; they're shooting everything. Really should hire this gentleman. --Robert Wilonsky
