Drug Conspiracy Nets 19 in Southeast Dallas County

Nineteen Texans, mostly women, were arrested Tuesday for their role in a methamphetamine distribution ring the U.S. Department of Justice says was operating out of the southeast Dallas County towns of Pleasant Grove, Seagoville and Balch Springs.

Each person named in the indictment is charged with one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, while all but three of those arrested have been charged with either distribution of methamphetamine or possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and two, Guadalupe Segovia and Tina Connolly are charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.

The investigation of the 19 alleged members of the conspiracy, which feds say included 11 women, began in January and was led by the Dallas Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety. Over the course of the investigation, law enforcement seized more than 6700 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 13.2 kilograms of methamphetamine oil, 62 grams of marijuana, 2.5 grams of heroin and 20 ml of gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), as well as 12 firearms and $12,379 in cash.

  • Stephanie Hernandez, aka “Stephanie Kinney,” 27, of Dallas
  • Luan Vo, 40, of Irving
  • Shelby Wiggins, 24 of Greenville
  • Katy Anderson, aka “Kay Scott,” 35, of Garland
  • Deborah Uribe, aka “Deberah Uribe,” 45, of Kaufman
  • Oralia Acosta, aka “Oralia Morris,” 51, of Dallas
  • Guadalupe Segovia, aka “Sleepy,” 43, of Mesquite
  • Carson Baker, 23, of Mesquite
  • Earvin Gibson, 45, of Dallas
  • Tina Connolly, aka “Tina Connlly,” 55, of Dallas
  • Edgar Fallad-Martinez, aka “Edgar Fallas-Martinez,” 28, of Dallas
  • Tiffany Gundermann, 26, of Waco
  • Michael Ramos, 20, of Mesquite
  • Leo Najera-Padilla, 29, of Dallas
  • Joshua Diaz, 27, of Dallas
Each of the defendants is set to be arraigned in a Dallas federal court on Thursday or Friday. If convicted, each of the defendants faces at least 10 years and up to life in federal prison for the conspiracy charge, in addition to a fine of up to $5 million.
