Haven't yet seen The Amateurs, about small-towners banding together to make the "first full-length feature amateur adult film." Looks funny, though, and it does have a pretty decent cast that includes Ted Danson, Lauren Graham, William Fichtner, Isaiah Washington, Patrick Fugit, Tim Blake Nelson, Joe Pantoliano, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Glenne Headly and Judy Greer. Oh, and Jeff Bridges, who's kind of the whole reason I mention this in the first place.
Because Bridges will be in town a week from tonight for a Q&A following the 7:30 p.m. screening of The Amateurs. Only, you gotta pay to play, as the movie's actually opening at the Angelika Film Center in Mockingbird Station on December 7. Tickets are available from the Angelika box office, if you're desperate to ask Bridges about The Amateurs, Iron Man or whether that rug really ties the room together. --Robert Wilonsky
