Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.
Well, maybe not Wonder Woman, not yet. But 25-year-old Sophia Bush has been oft-mentioned as a candidate to fill the star-spangled costume for Joss Whedon's alleged 2009 big-screen redo. But, see, that's burying the lead, because only a few days after Carrie Underwood said Cowboys QB Tony Romo's heart belonged to football and only football, both local dailies contain different mentions of Romo and Bush (hel-lo!).
In The Dallas Morning News, Alan Peppard writes that after Sunday night's win over the Vikings, Romo and the One Tree Hill and The Hitcher star ate dinner with Jason Witten and his missus at N9NE Steakhouse. And in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, it says Bush on Tuesday joined Romo at Terence Newman's Dallas house for a round of Guitar Hero III. Sounds like a slumber party! --Robert Wilonsky
Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
