Congratulations are in order for Centro-matic, whose Fort Recovery was deemed hipster-worthy by Pitchfork Media last week with an impressive 8.1 rating. Yeah, yeah, we know--one CD review ain't the end of the world, but we'll take whatever steps are necessary make "Calling Thermatico" a theme song for the next big coming-of-age teen drama on the WB--er, sorry, the CW. Anyway, to commemorate, watch the video for new single "Triggers and Trash Heaps," filmed by local super-director Kris Youmans and Kris Hardy at the veritable Dan's Silverleaf in Denton. As Youmans notes on YouTube, to which he posted this clip, "This is actually the very first time these boys ever played this song together"; he's also doing a doc on Centro-matic, which he began shooting at the same time this video was done. Good stuff. --Sam Machkovech
