Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.
Friend of Unfair Park Brad Moulton has been part of a group of folks that, for the last two years, has spent the second Saturday of every month tidying up part of the White Rock Lake shoreline. During that time, he's been documenting those efforts on Flickr; as Brad writes via e-mail today, "I took a picture from the same spot at Winfrey Point each month, kind of a neat perspective to see the seasons pass by."
He forwards a link to the slide show, which includes photos from this weekend's clean-up, which was made a little more complicated due to Saturday morning's way-below-freezing temps. Still, Brad writes, "the spray made some nice 'modern art,'" as evidenced by the photo above.
Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
