Whether you're at the end of your rope or merely the end of your week, welcome to Whitt's End:

*Next Tuesday Josh Hamilton wins AL MVP. Right?

*The good news: Greggo's "pus pockets" are gone. The bad: He's been told not to talk for 10 days. Ten! Means a couple things. 1. Summon RoboGreggo from the bullpen on 105.3 The Fan. 2. Wally Lynn, you have daily plans from 2-7. 3. Shut up Greggo, or else you could require vocal-chord surgery not unlike Fox 4's Mike Doocy and Russ Martin's old sidekick J.D. Ryan.

*I admire Michael Vick the football player, but I'll never be able to watch him score a touchdown without thinking of this face. Ol' buddy Bill Plaschke at the Los Angeles Times called me to pick up on Richard Hunter's saga of adopting one of Vick's former dogs and - whatdya know - now Alyssa Milano tweeted the story to her 1.1 million followers. Good for Mel.

*Haven't seen too much of the Mavs yet but when I've watched and push came to shove in the fourth quarter, they still lived or died by the 17-foot jumper.

*Don't understand all the fuss about body scanners as airport security. Are you hiding something? Or do you think your personal space is that dang important? Seriously, I think it'd be a better world if we all walked around naked. People would take better care of themselves, we wouldn't be so enamored with style-over-substance image/fashion and our collective obsession with stealing a peek of each other naked would be immediately disarmed.

*Toldja the other day that Babe Laufenberg - God love him - sucked as a Cowboys' quarterback. Some dude over at Deadspin agrees, putting Channel 11's sports director No. 3 on his list of the 100 all-time worst NFL players. Of course, can any "worst" list that includes on it a Super Bowl MVP (Larry Brown at No. 100) be taken seriously?

*Eva Longoria = Overrated.

*Took one second for me to vote "yes." You?

*If the Rangers don't re-sign Cliff Lee, should that push them to try Neftali Feliz as a starter? I don't think so, but only because I cherish the consistent closer about as much as anything in baseball. See: Mariano Rivera and the Yankees' success.

*Enter Jon Kitna. Exit Jason Witten? Seems like Kitna favors Dez Bryant over the veteran tight end. Don't blame him one bit.

*My radio buddy Gavin Dawson came on yesterday and drank 100 ounces of cold Coors Light in 28 minutes. And got really drunk. Ko-beer-oshi?

*It's official, I am ridiculous. Known it for years now, but this Movember mustache thing has plummeted my confidence and self-respect to an all-time low. Commence dog-pile in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

*I used to see Harry Potter movies. Then again, I used to be married with a stepson.

*Good for DISD. Bullying sucks.

*This weekend? Steak dinner tonight with some prominent Dallas/Fort Worth media types. Saturday I might crash the Margarita Ball and Sunday it's hangin' with the motorcycle clubs at Duke's before some Cowboys-Lions post-game show on 105.3 The Fan. Oh yeah, and we're watching soccer Sunday night. Go FC Dallas, right? Don't ever never ever be a stranger.
