The paperback edition of former Observer cover boy Will Clarke's Lord Vishnu's Love Handles is due in May, and if the cover is any indication , then I guess Anthony Michael Hall will be playing the lead in David Gordon Green's forthcoming big-screen adaptation. (Scroll down, by the way, to the February 9 entry.) In other Clarke news, Simon & Schuster will publish the local author's brilliant second book (well, his first, actually, but whatever) The Worthy: A Ghost's Story on July 26. You can pre-order it through Amazon for $14.95, which, by my math, is $132.59 cheaper than its $23 suggested retail price. Could be wrong about that, though. --Robert Wilonsky
