The Razzle Dazzle Dallas Steering Committee and Cedar Springs Merchants Association joined forces Wednesday night, and hosted a wine and dog walk down the Cedar Springs strip. The wine walk -- which used to take place every first Wednesday of the month, but has since turned into a quarterly event -- kicked off the 2011 Razzle Dazzle Days festival by providing wine drinkers and dog lovers with the opportunity to come out, and support the community.

CSMA wine glasses could be purchased for $5 a piece at tents outside Buli Cafe and Skivvie's, and from there, participants were free to meander in and out of participating businesses and have their wine glass topped off at each spot. There were merchant specials at each location too. Missed out on the fun? Fret not. Razzle Dazzle Dallas Days runs through the week with sponsored events taking place every night until Sunday, June 5.

Last night there was a Jägermeister Oak Lawn pub crawl, in which a party bus transported participants around town for cocktails and dancing.

Tonight is the night of the Metro Ball, an AIDS fundraiser party held at S-4. The ball costs $25 in advance or $30 at the door and will run from 7 p.m. until 3 a.m.

Saturday the Cedar Springs Merchants Association will host a sidewalk sale and fair from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. That night guests are invited to hit the strip for a full-on street festival. The event runs from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. and is free to the public. There will be DJs, live entertainment, beer and wine, food from area restaurants and more.

TMC will host a closing party on Sunday, and the Mr. and Miss Razzle Dazzle Dallas pageant kicks off at Brick at 10 p.m., which is, clearly, a no-miss event.
