Find your inner holiday cheer because tree lightings are happening all around you. Yes, it’s officially Christmas time and we know that because shopping anxiety has set in and your mother has already started bugging you about doing "more family things" because "it's the season of giving and family time."

We want to help you out with some tree lighting activities to occupy all that family time. They are all around the DFW area, so get going, you little Christmas elves!

Nov. 20
Addison Circle Tree Lighting

From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Beckert Park (5040 Addison Circle), the town of Addison will host the Addison Circle Annual Tree Lighting, complete with plenty of fun activities for everyone. There's children's activities, like a face painter and a balloon artist, there's holiday shopping for your grandmother, there's door prizes for you, there's the WaterTower Theatre and a kids' choir to entertain, and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus for everyone. What's not to enjoy?

Nov. 22
Fort Worth Parade of Lights

If you're into all-day events, then look no further because the Fort Worth Parade of Lights begins at 2 p.m. with the first round of buses leaving Farrington Field. Once you arrive in downtown Fort Worth, you can dine and shop before the parade begins at 6 p.m., featuring more than 100 illuminated floats. If you specifically want to see the tree lighting, however, that takes place at about 7:45 p.m. in Sundance Square Plaza.

Nov. 22
Snider Plaza Tree Lighting

From 1 to 6 p.m., there will be dozens of activities in Snider Plaza, including live performances, bounce houses for the kids, as well as vendors with food and drinks. Parking in Snider Plaza can be a pain, so extra event parking is available in the SMU Law School parking garage located at Daniel and Hillcrest avenues.

Nov. 27-28
Galleria Dallas Tree Lighting

You've seen it for weeks now right in the center of the Galleria, but it's finally time to light that bad boy up. At 6 p.m. Nov. 28, Macy's will host the Galleria's tree lighting. However, the day before on Nov. 27, Olympic gold medalists Charlie White and Meryl Davis will perform on the ice rink at noon.
