Palladium Ballroom

The Palladium manages to book an impressive variety of indie, metal, rap and folk. The sound can be spotty, the parking expensive, and the atmosphere can feel a bit too clean and corporate. But the past couple of years have brought in acts ranging from Wilco to Tom Waits to Modest Mouse to Motorhead. If you're an indie music fan, chances are you'll end up at The Palladium at some point-and if it's good enough for Erykah Badu's album release party, it's good enough for anyone. Word to the wise: Head just east on Lamar from the venue for a good chance at free or cheap metered parking.
