Stagecoach Ballroom

Home to one of the largest ballroom dance floors in the state, Stagecoach Ballroom has been bringing hip-swinging music to the people of Fort Worth for ages. The first iteration of the venue, called Stagecoach Inn, was launched by Ray Chaney in October 1961. Housed in the old Stagecoach Hotel on North Main Street in Fort Worth, Al Dexter of "Pistol Packin' Mama" rocked the house as the venue’s first act ever. The venue did well at this location, but eventually moved to another spot on White Settlement Road. Stagecoach had a few good years there, but burned down in July 1967. In the following months, Chaney found the perfect spot for the venue’s rebirth on East Belknap Road. Chaney died in a car crash a few years later, leaving wife Fae to run the Stagecoach until Bruno Czajkowski and his brother-in-law Milton Trojacek took over the property in 1974. Later renamed Stagecoach Ballroom, the venue has been in the Czajkowski family ever since. House band The Coachmen bring down the house, as well as acts booked throughout the year like Johnny Lee, Eddy Raven and Doug Stone.
