Dallas Marathon 2016 Kickoff Party & 5K Presented by Miller Lite Scheduled for May 19 Chip timed 5K and live music from Dallas’ Award Winning Beatles Tribute Band, A Hard Night’s Day will kick off registration season for 2016 Dallas Marathon DALLAS (April 8, 2016) – Race organizers for the Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and Behringer Relay announced today that registration for the 2016 event will open Thursday, May 19. To coincide with the registration launch, the Dallas Marathon will host the 2016 Kickoff Party & 5K Presented by Miller Lite – a chip timed 5K and post-race party – at Winfrey Point at White Rock Lake. Registration for the Kickoff Party & 5K Presented by Miller Lite launched April 8. Limited entries are available; participation in the kickoff run will be capped. Registration for the 2016 Kickoff Party & 5K Presented by Miller Lite is $25. Participants will receive: · Entry into chip timed 5K race (new for 2016) · Official 2016 Dallas Marathon training tech shirt · Access to the post-race party with free beer provided by Miller Lite (for 21+) · Participant giveaways from race partners and local sports teams including the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, FC Dallas and Texas Rangers Entertainment will be provided by Dallas’ Award Winning Beatles Tribute Band, A Hard Night’s Day. Local food truck favorites will also be on hand. Race time is 7 p.m., with the after party starting immediately following completion of the 5K. “Every year, we try to kick off the Dallas Marathon registration season with a new or entertaining twist for the running community.
