Together, Dean Allen Spunt and Randy Randall make up the experimental post-punk duo No Age. Since 2005, they've proven to be one of the most durable and exciting bands in punk. At the end of this month, they'll hit Oak Cliff's Texas Theatre for an intimate performance that promoter Spune is describing as "Behind the Screen." Though it's an all-ages show, patrons under 15 must be chaperoned by an adult. Hopefully Mom and Dad can bear the noise of No Age's high-energy live set, because this one is not to be missed.

In other news, Charlsie Grace of local talent booker The Artist Collective announced this week that she's expanding her repertoire. In addition to the great work she's doing at The Crown and Harp alongside Moody Fuqua, Grace will now be booking performers at Dada and City Tavern. Grace's keen eye for live music curation is sure to be a breath of fresh air for Deep Ellum -- she's helped bring acts like Ryan Hamilton (formerly of Smile Smile) and Panic: A Tribute to The Smiths and Morrissey through the recently reinvented Greenville Avenue venue. We here at DC9 are all excited to see what else Grace has up her sleeve.
