If what you think is missing from your debaucherous Saturday nights is another pool-themed club, then the eye is on the sparrow and the sparrow just so happens to be you. Salt, which closed last year, is re-opening this weekend under new ownership, and of course a new name. The spot at 3121 Ross Avenue, owned by Obi Ibeto, will now be dubbed Bungalow Beach Club.

We spoke to the club's promotional partner, former NFL player, Remi Ayodele about plans for the venue. Ayodele's plan for the space is to bring a Miami club atmosphere, with perfect timing for the summer nights. "You feel out of town there," he says. "We want out of town vibe, but not out of town prices." As far as the music goes, he envisions Top 40 leaning towards hip-hop on Fridays and electronic dance music the other nights of the week.

Though Bungalow has had some soft openings over the last few weekends, the grand opening is this Saturday with Los Angeles DJ Dr. Fresch on the ones and twos. This Sunday the Australian DJ Hook N Sling is stopping by as well.

Despite the fact that this weekend marks the official grand opening, Ayodele says (jokingly, I think) that there's going to be another one during Memorial Day Sunday with Paul Oakenfold spinning. He's treating grand openings like 22-year-old sorority or fraternity folk treat birthdays, stretching a night of celebration into an entire birthday week.

Correction: In a previous version of this article Remi Ayodele was referred to as one of Bungalow Beach Club's owners. He is the promotional partner. We regret this error.
