It's no secret that I'm unabashedly a big fan of Dorrough's "Ice Cream Paint Job." Been playing that sucker for weeks now (seriously, ask Jesse Hughey, who has to put up with it), and there's no signs of my fandom letting up--especially now that this new has popped up on my radar...
The Dallas rapper (see right), whose debut disc gets released later this month and whose video for "Ice Cream paint Job," which is currently playing on BET's 106 and Park video countdown, finds the man driving around town and performing in various Deep Ellum and Expo Park locales, has remixed his bona fide summer hit with some major help from national hip-hop heavy hitters Jermaine Dupri, Soulja Boy, Jim Jones, Slim Thug, E-40 and Rich Boy. Not too shabby.
It's a fine updated take on the track, even if it removes my favorite line from the original ("Are the rims big? Do it right good!"). Oh well. I'll live.
Anyway, download the remix right here. At the very least it extends the song's shelf-life by a good two months, I'd say.
