French pop artist Yelle and her band have certainly made an impression in the U.S., what with sugary-pop hits like "Ce Jeu" and accompanying video (see above) featuring the lead singer and band namesake donning a strange variety of attire, from a red- and white-striped bodysuit to possibly the strangest pair of sunglasses ever made.
The visuals practically scream it: "Don't take me seriously!"
But, really, if you didn't already speak French, you probably weren't going to do so anyways.
Luckily Yelle isn't a super-serious band, as evidenced by their latest song release, "Safari Disco Club," a light-hearted pop tune that may or may not be about dancing with giraffes, far as we can tell.
Why bring this up? Because Yelle will be in Dallas this Thursday to help locals live out their own French pop fantasies. And better yet, you could go for free!
